M.S. Biology; Towson University
I got my career started by working as an intern for the oyster hatchery here at HPL before moving into public outreach and informal science education in Baltimore City and a few of the surrounding counties. There I contributed to developing curriculum used in middle and high school to encourage environmental science literacy. After returning to HPL oyster hatchery I focused my attention on algae culture and began my research studying the effects of pH on culture density in Tetreselmis chuii. Since, I’ve assisted in several other research projects providing algae and guidance.
